2. Prepare 1/2 packages of fully cooked chicken breast strips(chicken fajitas).

Tips for making Southwest Chicken Pasta. Start with a large pot, as this makes a big batch! I started mine in my cast iron skillet and had to change pans half-way through since it wouldn't fit! You can adjust the spice level of this recipe by adding more or less chili powder.

1. Boil your choice of pasta.
2. After pasta is cooked drain it and start to cook chicken you will have to cut the strips into pieces and cook it for 5 minutes in a bit of vegetable oil.
3. After chicken is done mix the pasta and chicken togethere.
4. Add your ranch of choice.
5. Pour in some of the tortilla strips and mix.
6. For the pico De gallo you will need to chop up the tomato, onion, cilantro,jalapeño and mix it in a bowl you may add salt if u would like.
7. Then go ahead and dish up and add the pico De gallo as a topping and the cheese. Enjoy.

I really don't know why I didn't think of this pasta sooner. Perhaps because I so strongly associate pasta with Italian flavors. A quick meal with lots of flavors!! If it seems as if it will burn, stir it. This Southwest Chicken Pasta Salad is quick, delicious, and full of amazing flavor.
